Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Elevation of Judges for the HCs of Gujarat, Orissa, Bombay and Punjab & Haryana

The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on September 29, 2021 has approved the proposal for elevation of Judicial Officers and the Advocates as the Judges in the High Courts of Gujarat, Orissa, Bombay and Punjab & Haryana. The persons recommended for elevation include the following:

Gujarat High Court:

Names of the following Advocates have been recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium for elevation as Judges in the Gujarat High Court:

  1. Mrs. Mauna Manish Bhatt,
  2. Shri Samir J. Dave,
  3. Shri Hemant M. Prachchhak,
  4. Shri Sandeep N. Bhatt,
  5. Shri Aniruddha Pradyumna Mayee,
  6. Shri Niral Rashmikant Mehta, and
  7. Ms. Nisha Mahendrabhai Thakore

Orissa High Court:

Names of the following Judicial Officers and the Advocates have been recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium for elevation as Judges in the Orissa High Court:

Judicial Officers:

  1. Shri Radha Krishna Pattanaik, and
  2. Shri Sashikanta Mishra

Advocates:

  1. Shri Aditya Kumar Mohapatra, and
  2. Shri Mruganka Sekhar Sahoo

  4. Shri B.P. Deshpande
